THE BUZZ: Pawel Pawlikowski makes a hard-right turn from his last movie, oddball thriller The Woman in the Fifth, though the character of Wanda was influenced by a real-life mystery woman from the director's Oxford days. Music, particularly jazz and pop, help shape the mood of the story, embodied by actor Dawid Ogrodnik, who plays young saxophonist Lis.
