The Buzz: We are 100% sure this is the last time we will see a work by Hayao Miyazaki even though he's played the retirement card yet again, indicating this is his last film. The Buzz: Talk therapy rules the narrative of director Arnaud Desplechin's second English-language film which hasn't received strong reviews aside from some of its more subtle touches and refusal to diverge into melodrama. Desplechin's work of late has approximated camp, so perhaps this was too tough a transition for an otherwise crowd-pleasing filmmaker.
